Boat Butler Concept Coming Soon to Lake Glenville

CASHIERS, NC – Lake Glenville will soon be home to a new dry stack boat storage facility that will provide a higher level of exclusive valet service for boaters.

The developers of Greycliff, a new 127-acre luxury lakeside community, are planning to build the 30,000 square foot facility on North Norton Road, less than a mile from the public launch ramp on Lake Glenville.

The facility will include 250 dry slips available for purchase, with a public restaurant and private locker rooms, according to Bob Lundberg of Franklin, who is developing the Greycliff community and the new marina with his brother Dave of Orlando.

Construction is expected to begin in first quarter 2009, with completion by 2010, Bob Lundberg said.

“Our vision is to introduce a new concept called The Boat Butler to Western North Carolina boaters,” he said. “We’ll give owners virtually unlimited valet service for their boats.

“When you’re ready to take your boat out on the lake, we’ll bring it to you, fully fueled, serviced and stocked with your favorite beverages, ice and sandwiches,” he said.

“And when you’re ready to call it a day, we’ll pick you up, take you back to your car, clean your boat, re-fuel it, re-charge the battery and check to see if you need any service before we put it back in storage.

“We take care of all the work so you can have all the fun,” he said.

Property owners at the new Greycliff community will have first dibs on the dry slips, Lundberg said. The community, which staged its grand opening in early June, features 48 homesites overlooking Lake Glenville and priced from $250,000 to $595,000.

For a limited time, a Sea Ray 185 Sport Boat will be given to those purchasing Greycliff homesites, Lundberg said. “And it won’t be long before we have the perfect place for them to store it,” he added.

For additional information on purchasing a slip, please call the Greycliff sales center on North Norton Road, 1-888-747-3925.

Greycliff on Lake Glenville Promises Views and Values

CASHIERS, NC – With lake property prices in Western North Carolina heading skyward, a Franklin, NC developer is taking an alternative route.

Bob Lundberg of Franklin and his brother Dave of Orlando are launching Greycliff on Lake Glenville, a new 139-acre community overlooking Lake Glenville and within a short drive of both Cashiers and Highlands.

Greycliff features 50 homesites, priced from just $249,000 to $595,000, considerably below other mountain lake communities in the region. All homesites have been carefully designed to offer undisturbed views of Lake Glenville.

For a limited time, the Lundbergs are heightening Greycliff’s appeal by including a Sea Ray 185 Sport Boat with every homesite purchased in the community – the ideal boat for skiing the lake’s 1500-plus acres.

Greycliff’s top-priced homesite commands a wooded ridgetop at the community’s highest point, with an elevation of over 4,200 feet. It encompasses over 4.5 acres and features spectacular panoramic lake views, according to John Pinter, president of sales for Wilmington-based Echelon Sales Inc., the community’s sales and marketing firm.

“Greycliff is clearly the best value in the entire region,” Pinter said. “You just won’t find anything like what we offer at Greycliff – the views, the amenities, the lakefront access – at anywhere near the price.”

Family amenities include a Lake Pavilion, a community dock and a Kids Adventure Club. The Lake Pavilion offers water sports gear, picnic areas, restrooms and changing rooms and a lakeside firepit for cookouts and campfires. The Kids Adventure Club will house a kids-only clubhouse with three flatscreen TVs, video games, pinball, pool table and self-service soda fountain.

The Lundbergs are also launching a new concept for boaters in Western North Carolina called The Boat Butler, located across from the Greycliff sales center on North Norton Road. The facility features over 250 dry-stack boat slips and the ultimate in boat valet service. The facility is designed by Moss Creek of Knoxville.
